President Samia Suluhu has been declared the winner of Tanzania’s presidential election after she garnered 31 million votes.
The votes translate to 98% of the votes countered with her closest challenger being Chauma who garnered 213,414 votes representing 0.65%.
The ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi CCM has also won 270 out of 272 parliamentary seats with ACT party winning two seats.
