Two Kenyans among 15 victims of South Sudan airplane crash

A plane carrying 15 passengers, among them two Kenyans crashed in South Sudan kiling all of them on the spot as confirmed on Monday.

Speaking after the incident was South Sudan Civil Authority (SSCAA) who said that the crash could have been caused by adverse weather that caused poor visibility in the area.

The incident occurred south west of the country’s capital Juba when it was 20km away and the airtraffic controllers had lost communication with the plane’s pilot 30 minutes after they had taken off.

It has since been confirmed that the plane belonged to CityLink Aviation Ltd and that 13 of the passengers were from South Sudan with only two being Kenyans.

South Sudan is known for having a poor transport system and the air traffic lacks a proper record of hadling things.
