Taxi hailing company Uber has launched Uber Safaris, a new service tapping into the tourism sector in the country.
In partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), Uber Safaris will offer guided trips to Nairobi National Park and nearby areas.
The three hour day or night wildlife tours will cover transport charges, tour guides and entry fee for as low as Ksh 25,000 ($190) and will accommodate up to seven people.

The new venture which will tap into the sector has been welcomed with mixed reaction even though it provide the convenience of access using Kenyan-owned vehicles.
Kenyans have raised questions into the impact it has on local tour services and if the price is reasonable to locals.
Some have viewed it as a perfect idea as it will offer private and guided tours to dignitaries and personnel working in embassies and NGO’s.
