Mombasa anti-narcotics officers have arrested a woman trafficking bhang weighing 135kg and with a street value of Ksh 4 million.
The 30-year-old woman identified as Regina Akoth Kungu was arrested on Saurday at Kwa Musa in Diani where she lives.

“A woman found trafficking over 135kg of bhang with an estimated street value of Sh4 million was today arraigned at the SRM court in Kwale, following her arrest on Saturday by Mombasa anti-narcotics officers.
30-year-old Regina Akoth Kungu was arrested at her house within Kwa Musa in Diani, wherein several gunny bags containing the prohibited drug and Sh12,100 believed to be proceeds of her peddling were seized.” said DCI
She however pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on Ksh 50,000 cash bail with the case set to be mentioned on April 30th, 2024.
“Upon arraignment, the suspect pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of Sh50,000. The case will be mentioned on April 30, 2024.” said DCI
