A woman is confirmed to have encountered miscarriage after she was locked up at the Rwanyambo Police Post in Nyandarua.
Confirming the incident was the National Police Service (NPS) Spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga hwo said that teh OCS has since been interdicted over the issue with immediate effect.

Even though the OCS has been dismissed, investigations over the incident are under way to establish the reason why the woman was taken in leading to the miscarriage.
“The NPS reaffirms its steadfast commitment to serving and protecting the public, while strictly upholding the rule of law, human rights, and fundamental freedoms. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses,” said NPS Spokesperson Nyaga
According to Nyaga, the matter has also been taken over by the Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) who are working closely with the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA).
