The police have arrested a 45-year-old woman over the death of veteran obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr. Job Obwaka.
According to a report filled at Kilimani Police Station, the veteran doctor was brought in to Nairobi hospital in an ambulance from Kitengela where he had gone for personal errands.
It was however confirmed by the doctors at the hospital that Dr. Job Obwaka was already dead before he was brought in for treatment.

“The deceased had a history of medical conditions, though the actual cause of death is yet to be established,” read the report.
The woman in question has been identified as Beatrice Wangare and the two are reported to have been business partners. Investigations into their meeting are still under police investigation.
“Beatrice Wangare aged 45 years, has been placed in police custody as a person of interest pending further investigations,” read the report
The news comes at a time when the body of the late Doctor has been moved to Lee Funeral pending autopsy to establish the cause of death.
Even though Dr. Obwaka’s death is under investigation, political leaders have taken to social media to accuse the government of harrassing him leading to his ultimate demise.
This follows his detatoriated health after he was arrested after President William Ruto intervened over Nairobi Hospital’s affairs.
