Arsenal beat Sevilla in the Champions League

Premier League giants Arsenal demonstrated dominance in the Champions League by beating La Liga side Sevilla.

A touch of Brazilian magic did the trick through Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus to take Mikel Arteta’s side top of Group B with six points from three matches played so far.

Even though the odds were against Sevilla, the host took advantage of home support to pile pressure on Gunners who demonstrated strength to keep off Acuna and Rakitic.

Jesus made a clever turn before halftime before releasing the ball to Martinelli who beat the offside trap, rounding the goalkeeper and netting his first Champions League goal.

In the second half, Martin Ødegaard had his shot go way over the bar after Jesus’ had his shot blocked. The Brazilian striker netted his third goal of the Champions League when his curled shot met the far end of the goal post.

Aware of the Sunday’s mentality against Chelsea, Mikel Arteta side kept a strong finish close to the final minutes of the clash to cement their win.
