Premier League giants Arsenal are set to offer Mikel Arteta a new contract, with plans already underway since March this year.
It is understood that the decision had been reached by the club management regardless of the club performance this season.
Arteta is also focused on winning more trophies for the Gunners and building a stronger squad moving forward.

“Understand Arsenal are planning to offer Mikel Arteta a new contract in the summer. Plan already decided in March regardless of end of the season results.
Arteta wants to focus on titles now but in love with Arsenal project and looking forward to talks,” said Fabrizio Romano.
The news comes at a time when Arsenal quaified for the Champions League after 20 years in the cold and after reaching the competition’s semi-final spot for two consecutive seasons.
In another news, Manuel Neuer is expected to stay at Bayern Munich for one more season and the German is expected to sign a new agreement soon.
“Manuel Neuer is expected to stay at Bayern for one more season and sign a new contract soon! The negotiations are already underway, agreement at final stages.
Bayern informed agents of goalkeepers being offered that they plan with Neuer staying barring any surprise,” said Fabrizio Romano
