Buzeki accuses gov’t of not refunding VAT claims by businesses

Businessman Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop popularly known as Buzeki is accusing the government of not  refunding Value Added Tax (VAT) claims by businesses.

According to the businessman, the Kenya Kwanza administration is slowly forcing small businesses to close down due to the tax issue.

“UDA is obsessed with spending tax money and completely forgets the people/businesses whose tax money was squeezed from. UDA is not refunding VAT claims, and this is shutting down a lot of SMEs,” he said

The news comes at a time when the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) called on the government to facilitate the VAT refunds issue as it caused cash flow issues to many companies.
