Coast leaders led by Mombasa and Kilifi Governors have affirmed their position requesting ODM party leader to vie for Presidency come 2027.
Speaking on Thursday during a recruitment drive in Ukunda, Kwale County, Governor Abdulswamad Nassir noted that they are requesting but demanding the former Prime Minister to vie again in 2027.
According to the Governor, Coast region has and will always be behind the former Prime Minister and his party ODM.

His sentiments were shared by other leaders who said that the Kenya Kwanza Government has failed to revive the economy despite their efforts to deploy a number of strategies.
Speaking at the same venue, Hon. Raila Odinga declined to make any major announcement but said he has neither accepted or rejected the request but he will speak as he can comfortably speak for himself.
He however warned against engaging in succession politics as it is too early to engage in such discussions.
Hon. Raila Odinga is expected to visit Taita Taveta before wrapping up his Coast tour in Mombasa.
