Popular South Africa DJ, DJ Maphorisa has repossessed two luxury car he had gifted his now ex-girlfriend Thuli Phongolo.
In May this year, the DJ was accused by Thuli Phongolo of physically assaulting her at her home located in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Through a police statement, the now ex-girlfriend said that he confronted the DJ in attempt to solve a previous argument before she was punched on the chest several times.
“On Sunday May 7 at about noon, I was at my place of residence with my boyfriend, Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, better known as DJ Maphorisa.
I confronted him so that we can talk about our argument, which happened the previous night during his gig.
He became aggressive and started to punch me with his fists on my chest. He held me and took me to the balcony, and grabbed me aggressively by my neck.” said Phongolo
DJ Maphorisa was arrested shortly and released on Ksh 294,675 bail with the case postponed.
The two cars repossessed by the DJ include a Mercedez G-Wagon and a Porsche.
