Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata has predicted the defeat of President William Ruto’s UDA party in Mt. Kenya region come 2027.
According to the Governor, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is losing its footing in the region due to policies that they are undertaking and he has advised against taking them.
He continued by revealing that during a party meeting he shared his idea that was not taken into account but what was discussed will not hold water in the region.

“I have seen how the politics is going on, and I think I am now convinced it will not end well for the UDA party, at least in my region.” he said
Kang’ata revealed that his plan has been to stay quiet and work for the people but just like other Governors, he is being forced to declare his stand on the President William Ruto.
“When I became a governor, my political strategy was to be quiet, to concentrate on my mandate,”
“It reaches a stage when the president is in Murang’a, you are put into a corner where you have to say something, you are being nudged to make a choice to announce your statement, and if you don’t, people start saying you are not a good person.” he said
The news comes at a time when the Murang’a Governor confirmed that he will not be defending his seat under UDA but will confirm his political direction at the right time.
