Premier League side Newcastle United has ruled out a January transfer of midfielder Sandro Tonali to Arsenal after rumours surfaced online.
Through his agent, Tonali will remain at Newcastle United, and his exit and valuation will be confirmed in March if his current club opens the door for his exit.
Rumours had it that the Italian midfielder had been offered to Arsenal by his agent for Andre Berta to lead the transfer, but no contact was made with Newcastle.

“Sandro Tonali offered to Arsenal by agent so AFC explored but no contact with Newcastle United; nothing will happen this window. 25yo’s camp put idea to Andrea Berta so looked into as per any player of interest. NUFC exit now impossible,” said David Ornstein
“We never had any conversation with Arsenal”.
“Newcastle were never gonna let Tonali leave in January. There’s absolutely nothing to it”.
“We didn’t even talk about it,” said Tonali’s agent Giuseppe Riso
As things stand, the Italian is no longer a point of discussion in the current transfer window.
“Sandro Tonali was never gonna leave Newcastle in the January window, never been a possibility. Could be one to watch in the summer with several clubs already keen, but it will depend on Newcastle + not a topic now,” said Fabrizio Romano
