Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) knocked Liverpool out and booked there place in the Champions League quarter finals thanks to a 4-1 win in penalties.
Liverpool came into the clash with a 1-0 advantage and had the backing of there home fans in what would have been Arne Slot’s second major trophy he is after.
The host began the clash on a high note as Mohamed Salah’s effort was blocked by Nuno Mendes before having his second effort go wide.
Ousmane Dembele linked up with Barcola in the 12th minute to silence the home crowd when his strike saw the back of Liverpool’s net thanks to a Konate mistake. The Frenchman tried to pull one back but his effort was parred to safety by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia caused more problems for the Reds and had his effort blocked by Ryan Gravenberch and his follow up strike go narrowly over the bar.
Dominik Szoboszlai had his effort ruled for offside and Luiz Diaz effort blocked by Donnarumma. Mac Allister caused problems for PSG as he set one for Salah whose close range effort was cleared by Kvaratskhelia.
Kvaratskhelia once again reminded Liverpool who he was as his right footed effort was cleared at the crossbabr and set another one for Beraldo in the additional 30 minutes into the extra time but it was inches wide.
In the penalty shootout, Curtis Jones and Darwin Nunez were denied before Doué completed it for the French side who burst out in joy at Anfield.
