Dorothy Ooko explains why Kibe’s YouTube channel was terminated

Dorothy Ooko, the Head of Communications for Google in Africa has revealed why controversial content creator Andrew Kibe’s YouTube account was terminated.

Taking on X challenging Mariam’s call for an end to cancel culture claiming that attack on Kibe was an attack on the creative.

“Cancel culture can not be allowed to take root in content creation. Kibe Andy termination of YouTube accounts is NOT about his message but a direct attack on the creative. Restore his accounts. Say NO to CANCEL CULTURE.” said Mariam

Responding to Mariam, Dorothy noted that Kibe violated YouTube’s terms of service and had some of the features on his account suspended including the uploading of videos.

He however went around the issue by using another channel thus the termination.

“Kibe violated YouTube’s Terms of Service. While he was restricted from using YouTube features, including uploading videos on his channel, he used another channel to get around these restrictions aka circumvention, resulting in termination of all his channels,” said Ooko

Responding to Dorothy Ooko’s explanation, the former Kiss FM presenter demanding email evidence to prove that he indeed was notified of the violations as alleged.

“Sounds so pedestrian. Can you show me the emails of the violations. That is the procedure right? I mean there is no way YouTube permanently blocks any channel that has over 3000 videos with no paper trail? Be serious with your job,” said Kibe
