Erik Ten Hag warns teenage winger Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has warned his players against being carried away with their Carabao Cup win.

“We know we’re not in the position we want to be, so we have to build, catch up and work on the process and the results. Don’t get too far ahead. The next game is the most important.” said Ten Hag

Manchester United progressed to the next round of the cup after beating Crystal Palace thanks to three goals from Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial.

The results were something to smile about as it was a major improvement from their recent woes but they will against face Crystal Palace in the Premier League come Saturday at Old Trafford.

The Dutch manager however singled out Garnacho, calling on the teenage winger to contribute more if he wants a regular start at the club.

“You have seen at the start of the season we played him and then his contribution was not good enough,” he said

“But he also had some good actions. You see always he is a threat in the game even when he is not playing that well.” Ten Hag said
