President William Ruto has on Friday ordered the arrest of all those behind the clashes at the Kisumu-Kericho border in Sondu.
Speaking during his tour of Nyanza region, President Ruto noted that the country has not time for tribalism as he ordered Interior CS Prof. Kithure Kindiki to arrest all those behind the clashes.
“Niwahakikishie ya kwamba kila mtu ambaye alisababisha mwananchi akapoteza maisha yake lazima akamatwe na apelekwe jela.” said the President

The Head of State continued by saying that he will deal with those behind the attacks the same way the government is dealing with bandits in the North Rift and Al Shabaab militants.
“There are people taking us backwards and we will deal with them the same way we have dealt with the bandits in the North Rift and Al Shabaab,” said the President
On Thursday, Interior CS Kithure Kindiki had already transferred all security bosses in the region as he promised to crack the whip on any officer linked to the clashes.
“This evening, the government has deployed a contingent of specialist security personnel to contain the escalation of violent crime in Sondu Town and its environs. Lives have been lost, property destroyed, and civil order grossly undermined during the past two days,” he said
