Senator Edwin Sifuna and MP Caleb Amisi have threatened to lead a mass protest in ODM if the party endorses President William Ruto for the 2027 elections.
Speaking on Sunday during a women’s empowerment fundraiser in Trans-Nzoia County, the leaders promised to lead a walkout from the party if it continues to remain in bed with the UDA.
“If you decide to work with Ruto in 2027, that will be the end of me and you,” said Caleb Amisi

“I will read all the resolutions except the one on ODM endorsing President William Ruto in 2027. We will talk to everyone whose agenda is to remove William Ruto from power in 2027,” said Sifuna
The two were in the company of leaders allied to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, raising questions as to what they are planning.
Sifuna has recently been open about the party’s agreement with UDA, saying that the deal collapsed following the death of Albert Ojwang.
He also revealed that he has been against it from the word go, a statement that was later supported by Raila Odinga, who said that leaders have the right to voice their concerns.
