Sir Jim Ratcliffe ready to buy 25% stake of Manchester United

It has now emerged that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to buy 25$ stake of Manchester United following the exit of Sheikh Jassim from the deal.

Manchester United board will discuss the new deal in the coming days as Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants sporting control and future major ownership if the deal sails through.

As on Saturday, Sheikh Jassim presented a fully cash 100% bid for the Red Devils, an offer that included clearing all existing debts with no new debts moving forward.

“Sheikh Jassim has presented fully cash bid, clearing all old debt, with zero new debt, for 100% of the Club.” said Fabrizio Romano

The offer was in excess of the current $3.5B market valuation of the club also included a $1.5B extra investment but once again the Glazers family turned it down.

The Glazers family are now under pressure to change things at the club including calls to sell it following poor results and complains of old equipment making them less competitive compared to their rivals.
