Four arrested over mysterious death of grade 8 pupil in Nairobi

Four suspects have been arrested over the mysterious death of a grade 8 pupil at Joy Gardens Primary School in Tena-Umoja.

The four who include two directors, the head teacher and teacher in charge of the boarding section have been arrested and being held at Buruburu police station following the death of the student.

The detectives will now try to establish the circumstances under which the student jumped from the schools rooftop which is on the seventh floor.

“They have given so many versions of what happened. For now, we are not able to ascertain who is telling the truth. That is why they have to accompany us to the station so that we can zero down to the incident report,” said Buruburu DCIO

According to the police, the four suspects have all given different versions of what happened and it has been been established that the student had been interrogated by the teachers before jumping off the building.

It is now up to the police to piece together what happened before and after the interrogation even as they collected CCTV footage to solve the puzzle.

“For now all these remain speculations and investigators will establish the real occurrences. We have obtained all the CCTV footage and this will give us a key piece of evidence into the matter,” said the DCIO
