David Kipsang Keter of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has won the Emurua Dikirr by-election beating DCP candidate Vincent Kibet Rotich.
In the just concluded by-elections, David garnered 18,266 votes against 10,760 garnered by Vincent Kibet Rotich of DCP who came at a distant second.
According to IEBC, the consituency had 44,353 registered voters but only 29,538 casted the votes representing 66.6% turnout.

“Returning Officer for Member of National Assembly for Emurua Dikirr Constituency in Narok County, declared David Kipsang Keter of UDA Party the winner after getting 18,266 votes.
Vincent Kibet Rotich of DCP Party finished second with 10,760 votes. Out of the 44,353 registered voters, 29,538 votes were cast giving a voter turnout of 66.6%,” said IEBC
Other candidates included Gideon Koech of NVP party who came third with 190 votes, PNU’s Cherono Desma who finished fourth with 80 votes and Kiprono Rotich of RLP who garnered 62 votes.
Speaking after the news was Narok governor Patrick ole Ntutu who commended residents of Emurua Dikirr for maintaing peace during the exercise.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Hon. David Kipsang Keter (Dollarline) on being duly elected as the Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr Constituency. Your victory reflects the trust the people have in your leadership and indeed in our party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA)
I also commend the other candidates for their spirited and competitive campaigns, which strengthened our democratic process. Furthermore, I wish to thank the voters of Emurua Dikirr for their exemplary conduct and for maintaining peace throughout the election. I wish Hon. Keter every success in his service to the people,” he said
